Dancing cont.....

Have I mentioned how much I like ballroom dancing? Well, I do. And, I've signed up for a few more recitals/competitions. This means that I've started to look at renting, borrowing, or purchasing a dress. Wow, some traditional ballroom gowns are horrendous. There are a few apparent styles and trends that I do not like:

What I call 'wings'. This takes part of the dress and connects to the wrist, so the skirt flows up to your arms.

I think dancers want to stand out, so they go with the most flamboyant costume possible. I haven't decided what I'm going to wear yet, but maybe I'll just embrace the drama :)
