I caught myself having this conversation with a coworker:

"Do you know that there are at least 2 different ways to accrue expenses?"
"Yes, and I find it fascinating that there isn't a company standard in this area."
"I know, but I prefer to accrue all at once and then reverse those accruals."
"I agree, I do the same."
