James Bond Island
Sunday, May 11, 2008
We arrived in Phuket today (southern part of Thailand) and then took a boat to Krabi. This part of the land is speckled with towering limestone pillars that are covered with jungle foliage. Apparently, the author of the James Bond books had a home here and one of the movies has a few scenes in this place. It’s very exotic looking and has a Jurassic park/pre-historic flavor. Krabi is only accessible by boat (they use these small, long tail boats) and it was stormy today. It made for a bumpy and wet ride.
We're staying in a little bungalo on the beach and here's the view.
